SOUTHWEST AQUATICS is a full service lake management company headquartered in Palm Desert, California. With nearly 100 golf courses located within 20 minutes driving time, this desert resort area had a need for a company that understood biological water management. In the early 1980's several companies were providing service heavily emphasizing chemical control. SOUTHWEST AQUATICS was acquired by Dr. Paul Beaty who had an extensive background in freshwater biology. Dr. Beaty brought an understanding of how to use fish and aquatic plants in water management. Not only is this method of management more environmentally sound, but also less costly. Chemicals are still used but only when absolutely necessary.
We perform general lake service including biological and chemical control, fish and plant management, and fountain sales. Aeration installations are provided when needed. We have also acquired a mechanical harvester which has made us the most complete service available in not only Southern California, but perhaps the Desert Southwest. Recently, the company has expanded to the San Diego area. Lake construction has been added to our list of capabilities and we feel that by combining our management experience to the design of lakes, this area will grow rapidly.
SOUTHWEST AQUATICS is one of the few companies who is fully licensed and insured. In addition, Dr. Beaty consults on the design and management of water features internationally.
